Our canned DOP “Mejillón de Galicia” mussels come from the traditional cultivation rafts in the Galician loughs and estuaries, to be later immersed in a classic recipe and offer a mouthful of intense and unmistakable flavor.
With a high nutritional value and a significant contribution of proteins, vitamins and minerals, the consumption of mussels benefits the immune system, strengthens bones and contributes to cellular repair.
Canned DOP “Mejillón de Galicia” mussels in Galician sauce
After reaching the optimum size, the Mylitus galloprovincialis are steamed and thoroughly cleaned. Before being canned, they undergo a dehydration process that ensures the right balance between the ingredients of the sauce, as the water excess that could alter the sauce is eliminated.
The savoir faire of five generations is present in the DOP “Mejillón de Galicia” mussels in Galician sauce from Palacio de Oriente, made with our own recipe containing olive oil, onion, paprika and white wine. Our Galician sauce enhances the taste of the mollusks without taking away from their true importance.
Place the DOP “Mejillón de Galicia” mussels in a slightly deep dish and cover them with the sauce without wasting a single drop, allowing you to enjoy a happy moment at the table.
